Welcome District 96 Club Officer team for the second half of the 2016-2017 term. As leaders in our roles we discover the first half of our term is about learning.  The second have of our term is about implementing.

Please join us for Club Officer training:

DATE:  Saturday-December 10, 2016

TIME:  1:00pm – 4:00pm – Registration opens 1pm, training starts at 1:30pm

PLACE: Douglas College (New Westminster - 700 Royal Ave) -Classroom N3408 (Level 3 North)

COST: $5 at the door

Whether you are new to your club officer role or in your second half of your term let's learn and grow together as we what is important for the remainder of our term, learn how to finish the year strong, discover exciting new things happening Toastmasters and our District 96 such as the new Pathways program.  Find out why Storm the Stage is so important to all our members.  Hear about opportunities for you at the Toastmasters International Convention August 2017 in Vancouver.

When:    Wednesday, July 4th 

Broken into 2 sessions for different roles.  Please arrive  a few minutes early. Feel free to bring your lunch. Basecamp training is open to all, but of particular interest to President, VP Education and Secretary roles.

    11:45 - 12:45   VP Membership, Public Relations and SAA

    12:50 - 1:05   Pathways Basecamp Manager mini training 

    1:10 - 2:10     President, VP Ed, Secretary and Treasurer

Where:  SAP Offices - 910 Mainland St

You may find some metred street parking on Mainland or close by.  There is paid parking on the roof accessible from Nelson St but it’s a little tricky finding your way downstairs from there. 

It’s walking distance from Yaletown station on Canada line and Stadium station on Expo line.

 Enter the building on Mainland St,  walk up the stairs to reception.  Meeting is in Anemone meeting room which is to the left of reception

TOGETHER IS BETTER!

Come on out & join the team from Division M for a fun filled afternoon of training & networking.  This is a great opportunity to meet your counterparts while learning about your new role!  Our afternoon will include an update on District initiatives, networking, teambuilding, officer training and a pathways Q&A session.   Our objective will be to build relationships between our clubs that will allow us to reach out to each other to share ideas, initiate collaborations and make some new TM friends.   Each of our clubs is unique and we would all love to hear about what you are doing that works, what is a challenge and how we can work together to further enrich our Toastmaster journey.   Looking forward to seeing all of you on July 14th!

3 hours can save you 30 hours!
Sunday June 18 from 9:30 to 12:30 will be 3 such hours.

Contests are a Toastmasters Tradition – the embodiment of tremendous learning during times of enjoyment. This season, our Areas and Divisions will gather as supportive social communities – networking within larger audiences. Speakers practice improving impromptu skill sets for Table Topics.

Effective contest administration plus fair judging elevates the experience for our entire district.

It is said that Leadership is about leveraging the knowledge and talents of others for the benefit of a greater good.
It is also said that the best way to learn how to do something well is to learn from those who already do it well.
