Start Date

Visit Declarations for SUCCESS Toastmasters and see how our community club can help you enhance your self-confidence and build the speaking and leadership skills needed to achieve your goals.

At our meeting, you will see how our warm, supportive atmosphere and self-directed programs enable our members to achieve their communications and leadership goals.  You will also see how our collaborative approach and progressive programs enable our members to reach a level of excellence in speaking skills that is far beyond what is typically achieved in multi-thousand dollar seminars and courses (by comparison, Declarations Toastmasters dues are less than the cost of buying a latte before every meeting).

Our club's commitment to growing our members' communication and leadership skills has been integral to our success. By pairing new members with experienced public speaking mentors, new starts at the Declarations Toastmasters Club have the opportunity to jump start their progress.

Our community of members runs the gamut from college-age to active seniors and comes from many diverse walks of life and ethnicities.  Our members and guests come from across the Metro Vancouver area and work in a wide range of occupations, including education, law, medicine, sales, information technology, homemaking, financial services, insurance, real estate, and many others.

We welcome new members at all levels of communications and leadership experience, as a large part of our success comes from our diversity!

Visit us at our next meeting and see how we can support you in developing your speaking skills. We look forward to seeing you soon!

End Date

Just Pros Dragon's Den is back! We invite Toastmasters from District 96 AND District 21 moving on to their next level of competition (whether it is the Area, Division or even District) to rehearse their contest speech on the big beautiful stage at JIBC in New Westminster. Speakers will receive feedback from Just Pros Dragons

Who: Toastmasters moving on to their next level of competition, and their cheerleaders and supporters.
What: Rehearse their contest speech on the JIBC Theatre stage.
Why: Hands down, feedback helps us with our speaking skills and improve. The Dragon's Den event is a great stepping point to help speakers get feedback and add to their toolbox of speaking skills. Speakers will have the opportunity to do their speeches in front of a larger audience on a big stage.

Please e-mail Vivien (contact information below) with a) Name, b) Club, and c) next level of competition, to apply. Applications will close at 8:00 a.m. sharp on March 30, 2017. Speakers will then be determined by a random draw and notified to speak at the Dragon's Den event.
