86th Annual Toastmasters International Convention

Join us next August for the 2017 Toastmasters International Convention in Vancouver, Canada!

  • Registration begins in April 2017
  • If you would like to volunteer for the convention and join our Helping Hands program, submit a volunteer interest form, and you will be contacted in early 2017 with additional information.
  • If you are interested in being a presenter at the convention, view the requirements and submit your application before December 31, 2016.
  • Join the first ever post-convention cruise, traveling from Vancouver to Alaska on Celebrity Cruise Line.

Area 21 is hosting their Contest at the Racquenteurs Club on Monday, April 3rd at 7 pm.

International Speech: Contestants present a five to seven minutes speech on any subject they choose. 

Evaluation contest: Contestants observe a five to seven minutes test speech and then present a two to three minutes evaluation of the test speech.

Please come and support your fellow toastmasters!

There will be a $5 cover charge to help pay for the room and snacks...

Special event orginized for the Area, which is composed of four "corporate" clubs. It will following a normal two-hour club meeting, but slightly different:

i. 2 speeches (Story Telling-Christmas related, given by members of two different clubs, evaluated by members of the other two clubs)

ii. One humorous speech by Stephano Cossalter

iii. Table Topics:The TableTopics Master, Thor Kuhlmann, will start a tale that will be followed, one by one, by one member of each club (2 min each). The tale will be ended by Barry Monahan, who won the 2016 TT contest.

iv. Education speech: "How to use the advanced communicator manuals and the HLP for your development." by Lydia Burchell

v. General Evaluator: Rene Jacobs
